Pedals and Pints
Relaxed social cycling.
Good routes. Good stops. Good company.
What is Pedals and Pints?
We believe the best bike rides aren’t measured in speed or miles, but in great conversations, shared laughs, and perfectly planned stops at local cafés, pubs, and breweries.
Swap the pressure of competition or clubs for a social ride where the community comes first and absolutely nobody gets left behind. Turn up alone or bring a friend — either way, you’re guaranteed a warm welcome, an easygoing vibe, and a friendly group that’s just as excited to hang out together as they are to turn their pedals.

Some of our awesome reviews

To share a day with like minded people who love to cycle and spend time outside taking in the the scenery and beautiful sites. Making new friends while keeping fit and of course having a few drinks, what’s not to like? I can’t wait for the next Pedals & Pints venture.

Brilliant cycle from Guildford to Brighton, thank you to Angus for organising the route, pubs, discount and everything in between! A brilliant day out with great company! I was worried I wasn’t going to be able to keep up however, there was a lot of different abilities and was never alone, Angus and the team kept in contact with us throughout the route with regular check-ins!
– Joanne

Angus organised the recent event from Guildford to Brighton perfectly!
Even making arrangements at the coffee shops, brewery, pubs and at our last stop on Brighton beach, we had our own area at the bar. I met lots of new like minded people and got to know people from the spin class better.
– Neil

It’s a great active day out, but the emphasis is on fun! It is a fantastic way to meet new people and be out in the fresh air. An easy distance to cover as there are lots of food and drink stops and no-one is rushing. Thoroughly recommend!

Bring people in. Don’t leave people out.
Our rides are built around community, not speed. If you are a nervous rider or simply prefer a relaxed pace, you’ll fit right in as nobody gets left behind. We know it can be daunting to turn up to a new event on your own, but we actively look out for solo arrivals to ensure you feel instantly welcome and included in the group. From the first pedal stroke to the final pub, café or brewery stop, this is an encouraging, pressure-free space to build your confidence on the bike and meet like-minded people along the way.

FAQs
You don’t need to be a serious cyclist. If you’re comfortable riding the advertised distance at a relaxed pace, you should be absolutely fine.
Definitely. Quite a few people do. A big part of Pedals & Pints is making sure people are brought into the group and don’t feel like they’re on their own.
It depends slightly on the route, but hybrids, gravel bikes and mountain bikes are all ideal. Each ride will clearly explain the terrain and what sort of bike is best.
Yes, absolutely.
It’s a social pace, not a race. The whole point is to enjoy the route, the stops and the company rather than chase an average speed.
No. There will always be a lead rider and someone operating at the back of the group, so the aim is to keep everyone supported and accounted for.
Each event will clearly show the distance, terrain, surfaces and planned stops so you know what to expect before booking.
The route will be planned in advance and shared digitally by GPS where possible. On some rides, key sections may also be checked or marked out beforehand by the lead rider. There will always be someone leading from the front and someone supporting from the back.
Please bring basic spares such as a tube or repair kit, but we’ll always help where we reasonably can.
Not at all. The pub and café stops are about the social side of the day. What you drink is completely up to you.
We’ll keep an eye on conditions and update riders beforehand if the weather means plans need to change.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the advertised start time for check-in and a short rider/safety briefing.
Yes. Helmets are required on Pedals & Pints rides.
Each ride will explain the finish point and return options clearly, including nearby train stations where relevant.
A suitable bike, helmet, water, basic puncture repair kit or spare tube, appropriate clothing for the weather, and a sense of humour.
No. Pedals & Pints is a relaxed social ride, not a training session or race.
That’s completely fine. The aim is to create a welcoming atmosphere where people feel supported, included and comfortable from the start.
